Compressed Gasket Sheet

Available with a wide variety of binder materials to best suit differing applications, our compressed gasket materials can be purchased as sheet or fabricated per your specifications.

Hi-Temp Compressed Gasket Sheet

Our high-temperature gasket materials excel in the harshest conditions- intense heat, high pressure, saturated steam and hot oils. The complex engineering process involves laboratory tests for fire safety. They maintain effective seal during pressure and temperature fluctuations. Superior torque retention lowers leakage rates and reduces maintenance time.

Expanded PTFE Sheet

Designed for severe chemical service, color-coded for easy identification, superior sealability, which helps reduce process and media loss as well as fugitive emissions, reduced creep and cold flow characteristics, and patented thermal bonding process to fabricate virtually any size gasket. The process reorients the PTFE and fillers in such a way to increase the material’s tensile properties and decrease the creep relaxation problems that usually plague PTFE products. In addition, the mixing process creates a homogenous material with consistent, superior physical properties that, unlike inexpensive skived PTFE sheet materials, do not fluctuate from one side of the sheet to another.

Graphite Sheet

Graphite Gasket Products are flat gasketing materials composed of pure, exfoliated flake material. These materials excel in extreme conditions, withstand high temperatures, high pressures, and aggressive chemicals, and are proven fire-safe. Graphite provides a reliable seal as it seals easily under moderate bolt load, offers superior torque retention, retains dimensional stability in high temperatures and seals tightly even during pressure fluctuations. Flexible graphite is manufactured in such a manner that no organic or inorganic binders and fillers are introduced—the end product is essentially graphite with outstanding physical properties. The insertion of wire mesh, stainless steel foil, and tanged metal inserts increase strength and ease of handling

Inorganic Fiber Sheet

Constructed with inorganic fibers with a nitrile binder. Reduced creep relaxation and improved torque retention provide optimal sealing. Most inorganic fiber gasket sheets are ABS Fire Safe Type approved.

Vegetable Fiber (Oil Paper)

Premium grade vegetable fiber sheet packing, efficiently saturated with a glue-glycerin impregnant rendered insoluble by means of a tanning agent to create a strong, flexible, all-proof packing.

PTFE Sheet

PTFE (also known by the trade name Teflon®) has a very high melting point, and is capable of continued service at 500F (260 C). PTFE products are used as gasket and packing materials in chemical processing equipment; as electrical insulation for maximum reliability; and in bearings, seals, piston rings and other mechanical applications -especially those requiring anti-stick characteristics. PTFE has excellent thermal and electrical insulation properties, and it has a low coefficient of friction. PTFE is known for its non-stick properties. Materials may stick to it but can be peeled off or rubbed off. Available in virgin or mechanical grade.

Cork Sheet

Cork Rubber material is a mixture of first grade granulated cork and a synthetic rubber polymer. This gives the product the high resilience of rubber and the compressibility of cork. It is manufactured by conjoining the cork, glycerin-glue, and a rubber binder under heat and pressure.

Urethane

Known for its superior resilience in industrial applications, urethane offers a unique solution for many demanding situations. Available in multiple colors and hardnesses.

Felt

Felt gasket material is available in a wide range of hardnesses, thicknesses, colors, styles and densities �- SAE Wool Felts, MIL-SPEC felts, F-series felts, synthetic felts, woven or non-woven felts, Polyester felts and Dacron Felts. Any Auburn Felt is available either plain (no adhesive) or with an adhesive-backing applied to one or both sides. All adhesive-backed felt products come with an easy to remove peel-off-liner. Auburn felt can be supplied in master log rolls, continuous length rolls or coils, slit tapes, precision strips, or fabricated custom parts. 

UHMW

Ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene (UHMWPE, UHMW) is a subset of the thermoplastic polyethylene. Also known as high-modulus polyethylene, (HMPE), it has extremely long chains, with a molecular mass usually between 3.5 and 7.5 million. The longer chain serves to transfer load more effectively to the polymer backbone by strengthening intermolecular interactions. This results in a very tough material, with the highest impact strength of any thermoplastic presently made

Kammprofile Gaskets

Kammprofile Gaskets provide exceptional reliability in difficult applications. Kammprofile Gaskets accommodate standard ASME flanges as well as non-standard flanges including lighter weight flanges, valves, pumps, flanges, heat exchangers and vessels. Kammprofile™ Gaskets are also an excellent choice for old, worn heat exchangers originally designed for jacketed gaskets.  The Kammprofile™ handles pressures from full vacuum to the maximum rating of the flange and withstands temperatures from cryogenics to 2000°F / 1090°C, depending on sealing material and metal core.

PTFE Joint Sealant

Versatile GORE Joint Sealant is standard sealing material for many MRO (Maintenance, Repair and Operations) teams because it seals reliably – and because it’s easy and cost-effective to install. For most applications, just peel off the adhesive backing, apply to the surface, and overlap the ends.

Heat Exchanger Gaskets

Copper Gasket

Copper is stronger than any composite head gasket yet still malleable so it conforms to the sealing surfaces. This strength-malleability combination is, more than any other attribute, the ‘selling point’ of copper as a head gasket material over other materials. While the advantages of strength are self evident, the benefits of a malleable gasket body are somewhat more nuanced. Simply put; conformity makes a tighter seal which will show up in lower leak down percentages.
